What Do You Mean by Crossdenominational?

Feel free to enjoy the audio version of this blog:

Crossdenominational means this ministry crosses over all denominations, and is not intended to include specific denominational ties, beliefs or views. When we get to heaven, God will not ask us if we were Baptist, Church of Christ, Methodist, Catholic, etc. He will simply ask us if we knew His Son, Jesus. Then we will be welcomed into the "Body of Christ" as His bride...the Church!

Please don't misunderstand, I am not here to judge one denomination over another. Every member of every body of believers has their own convictions, and I am not going to spend what precious time we have here deciding whether the AOG or the COGIC are the most correct in their interpretations of scripture!

My ministry, my calling, is to preach and teach the Word of God the best I can with what I feel inspired by the Holy Spirit to share. Therefore, this web ministry, and the audio ministry as well, is designed to be Crossdenominational.

"Why do you say that, Brad...how can you say that, Brad," you may ask?  Why don't we look at what the Word says about this.  In Galations 3:26-29, we read in verse 26:  "For you are ALL sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus."  Now the word "all" in the Greek, simply is "all".  ALL is ALL ALL is, and ALL ALL is is ALL ALL is!  That's simple isn't it?

So whenever it says, "...you are ALL sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus," it's speaking specifically to the believer who has had the redemptive moment with Jesus Christ.  It has nothing to do with the denomination; it has to do with the redeemed blood of Jesus being placed upon them.

Now in verse 27 it says, "For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ."  In other words, we wear Jesus like a coat.  He covers us in His blood.  Verse 28 says, "There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are ALL one in Christ Jesus."  Well, how many is "one"?  It's just like the word "all".  "One" is ONE!  There's not going to be two come out of one, although two can be made one (in the eyes of God), there's not going to be two come from one.

Verse 29 says this:  "And if you are Christ's, then you are Abraham's seed, and the heirs according to the promise."  So does that mean that the Baptist is the only one to receive the inheritance of God?  Or the Catholic be the only one to receive the blessings of God?  I think not!  I think it has to do with the person who has had a salvation experience by confessing with their mouth that Jesus is the Lord and Savior of their life; that has repented and walked in a different way -- that is goind to experience the FULL inheritance of God!

Ephesians 4:11-16 also helps in the reasoning for this way of thinking.  It says, "And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ..."  So the purpose of all of these different positions within the church are used for "equipping the saints for the work of ministry" AND "for the edifying (building up) of the body of Christ."

Verse 13, "...till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ..."  You see, folks, we're not at the point of the "stature of the fullness of Christ" yet!  The "body" is still being built---the body is still growing!

"Well when does that stop?" you might say.  It's very simple.  It stops at the moment that the very last person has been ushered into the Kingdom of God through the salvation experience that grace provides!  When that moment occurrs...that very day will be the "stature of the fullness of Christ" reaching its FULL measure, and we will be in "the unity of the faith" at that point.  The body will be complete.  Jesus will come at that point to bring His people home.

Verse 14 says, "...that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting, but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head---Christ---from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love."

So you see, our purpose right now---whether it's being in a specific denominational church, or being in a non-denominational, or interdenominational church, or having a ministry such as this web ministry that is crossdenominational (being able to be out there for ALL denominations, and ALL believers AND unbelievers alike)---we are here, specifically, for the purpose of being able to "...speak(ing) the truth in love" and "...grow up...into Him who is the head."

The Bottom Line:  If you think about it, any and all believers who teach and preach according to Jesus are literally CROSS-denominational! That is, they fall underneath the CROSS of Christ.  Just enjoy what God would have you learn from these pages, and may God bless you!

“World travel and getting to know clergy of all denominations has helped mold me into an ecumenical being. We're separated by theology and, in some instances, culture and race, but all that means nothing to me any more.”  ---Billy Graham

I hope that you will simply enjoy asking questions and having questions answered to you through this ministry, and that through this you may grow in your understanding of the truths of the Word, not of what man has to say, but what God has to say.
